Manchester United are trying to improve their offensive units in the summer, identifying Lorenzo Lucca as a potential target.
The 24-year-old Italian has done very well for Udinese, and his performance has attracted the attention of Premier League clubs.
According to a report from The Sun, the 24-year-old is one of multiple names on his wish list. It remains to be seen whether Manchester United will follow up on their interests with the offer to sign players.
The striker has scored 12 goals in all competitions this season, demonstrating a great acquisition by Manchester United. The towering Italian adds physicality, aerial skills and presence in advance. He could lift the ball and take the others into the game too.
Lucca has been described by his teammates as “a very special player” and has been able to develop into a key player for Manchester United.
Man United need a striker like Lorenzo Lucca
They need to improve their teams in the summer and signing quality strikers must be their number one priority. The 24-year-old could be tempted to join one of the world’s biggest clubs, and Manchester United also has the resources he can afford.
Players like Joshua Zirksie and Rasmus Hozilund are still holding onto British football, and Manchester United need more help in the offense. Italians can solve goalscoring problems if they can quickly adapt to the Premier League.
However, the striker joined Udinese last summer and has signed a contract with them until 2028. So he is not a cheap acquisition. Manchester United will have to pay premiums if they want to complete the transaction.
