Cynthia Calbillo calls it a career.
The 13-time UFC veteran announced on her Instagram account on Monday that she has retired from the competition. Calvillo ended his professional career with a 10-6-1 record, including a 6-6-1 run at the UFC from 2017 to 2024.
“I loved so much when I said goodbye to the sport I gave everything,” Calbilo wrote. “I wasn’t ready to let go yet, but life and opportunity has led me to pursue the next chapter of my life. I want to thank everyone who helped me live this crazy dream of mine. Jose lives her dream.
Calvillo went 6-1-1 to start the UFC run, but things changed when they went on to five consecutive wins. The UFC chose to give Calbillo one last shot at the UFC Vegas 90 in April 2024, but she missed the weight and was later released from the promotion.
The 38-year-old competed once more in the Hex Fight Series 32 this September, earning a unanimous decision victory over Lisa Kiriaku.
