A pair of England players are now isolating after coming into contact with Covid-19-positive Billy Gilmour.
Billy Gilmour positive for Covid-19
News broke earlier on Monday that Billy Gilmour is set to miss Scotland’s meeting with Croatia after testing positive for Covid-19:
We can confirm that Billy Gilmour has tested positive for COVID-19.
Having liaised with Public Health England, Billy will now self-isolate for 10 days and therefore miss tomorrow’s UEFA EURO 2020 Group D match against Croatia at Hampden.https://t.co/lRNWvckqCK

Whilst this is, of course, a huge blow for Scotland, concern quickly spread amongst the England fan base, too.
This comes with the Three Lions having faced off with Scotland on Friday, a game which saw Gilmour start.
It was reported earlier today that, following Gilmour’s positive test, England’s players were also tested, with none having returned a positive result:

Mason Mount & Ben Chilwell isolating after being in contact with Gilmour
This came as a huge boost for the Three Lions, as their clash versus the Czech Republic remains a significant one, with Gareth Southgate’s side needing a win to top Group D.
Despite all players and staff returning negative tests, however, two English players are now being forced to self isolate.
England confirmed in an official statement a short time ago that Ben Chilwell and Mason Mount are isolating, after coming into contact with Gilmour. The pair’s potential involvement versus the Czech Republic is now seemingly up in the air.
It is added that Gareth Southgate’s entire squad took further tests on Monday afternoon, and once again returned negative results.
