England vs Czech Republic
England are set to play host to the Czech Republic at Wembley shortly.
The Three Lions will head into the tie sat 2nd in Group D. However, a win on Tuesday will see England finish top of their group, leaving them with a rather daunting task of taking on 2nd place in Group F in the round of 16.
The Czech Republic meanwhile, only need a draw from Tuesday’s game to top the group as they are currently ahead of England due to goal difference.

Why Foden is missing for England vs the Czech Republic
Ahead of the game getting underway, England revealed their matchday squad a short time ago.
Said squad was fairly interesting, with Bukayo Saka handed a start over Jadon Sancho.
Elsewhere, it was revealed that Phil Foden was omitted from the 23-man squad completely.

Given Foden was one of England’s brighter players vs Scotland, his omission did seem odd.
However, Gareth Southgate has since explained he left Foden out as he is already on a yellow card and due to Mason Mount and Ben Chilwell likely missing the round of 16 as well, he does not want to take the risk of losing yet another player for that game:
“He’s on a yellow card, given that we look like we’re missing two players [Mount & Chilwell] for the next round, I don’t want to take a risk on a third. It’s a shame for Phil, but I think it’s a sensible decision.”
