Alexander Isak impressing at Euro 2020
The European Championships are often opportunities to spot talents not usually available to see on a weekly basis for fans and clubs alike.
The ability to be able to see some players operate at the elite level and away from their domestic appearances can provide important insight for recruitment teams as to how a player may adapt should they make the move to the big leagues.
Whilst Alexander Isak has already impressed in one of Europe’s elite competitions in Spain, he is now doing it on the international stage, drawing much attention for his performances for Sweden.
He is getting plenty of praise from the pundits seeing him properly for the first time too.

Spanish outlet Cadena SER reports that Real Madrid have now entered the race to sign the Swedish forward.
Real will be looking for a long-term replacement for Karim Benzema, now 33.
The French striker, also playing at Euro 2020, has taken on the mantle left by Cristiano Ronaldo and been key to successes had since the Portuguese’s departure.
However, Florentino Perez knows he will need to find a replacement for him and if not the mercurial Erling Haaland then Isak could be that man.
However, the report says that the intention is for Real Sociedad not to allow Isak to leave for anything less than his release clause. A clause they are even looking to increase in the near future.
The club chaired by Jokin Aperribay is clear that initially it will refer to its termination clause, if someone wants to sign Isak this summer.Â
He hopes that he can retain his star for at least one more year;Â to the point that he continues to have on the table the offer to improve the contract that he made before the European Championship began, and with which he intended to raise his clause to 90 million euros to protect him even more.
Isak is sure to make Sociedad a very sizeable fee should he move on from the Basque country this summer.
