Funds boost for Chelsea? After signing Tomori, AC Milan set sights on further trio of Blues stars

Serie A giants AC Milan are eyeing up no less than three Chelsea stars as potential additions ahead of next season, according to reports.

Fresh business?

Business has of course already been carried out between the Rossoneri and Pensioners this summer.

After a hugely successful half-season loan at the San Siro, those in a position of power on the red half of Milan opted to make Fikayo Tomori’s arrival a permanent one earlier this month.

The Italian powerhouse are understood to have forked over a fee of around £25 million to push the deal through:

As outlined above, though, if the latest speculation in the media this week is anything to go by, then it appears that business between the respective boards in Milan and London this summer is far from complete.

This comes with the former having set their sights on no fewer than three more Chelsea players.

As confirmed by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Diavolo have already opened fresh talks over the potential addition of Olivier Giroud. This comes with the personal terms of a two-year contract having been agreed between the parties.

Not only that, but Paolo Maldini and co. are also said to be expressing a keen interest in both Hakim Ziyech and Tiemoue Bakayoko:

‘Everything possible to bring him’

And it appears that at least one of the aforementioned trio is indeed keen to swap Stamford Bridge for the San Siro over the weeks ahead.

The player in question? Bakayoko.

Speaking earlier today, Andy Bara, the representative of French midfielder Bakayoko, was drawn on Milan’s interest in his client. This comes with the ex-Monaco man having previously spent the 2018/19 campaign on loan with the Rossoneri.

And Bara went on to confirm that his client would jump at the opportunity to return to Serie A, this time on a permanent basis:

‘It is possible, Milan are looking for a player with his characteristics and it is likely that they can make a proposal. At the moment Tiemoue is a Chelsea player, but there is a possibility to change his shirt and go to an Italian team.’

‘Milan are a great team and if the opportunity arises we will do everything possible to bring him to the Rossoneri. [Paolo] Maldini and [Frederic] Massara know him, they know what he can give. I don’t think he will go away on loan like he did to Napoli, his contract doesn’t allow it.’
