A pair of updates on the work of Premier League giants Arsenal on the transfer front have come to the fore on Thursday evening.
The first surrounds the Gunners’ interest in Andre Onana.
Ajax shot-stopper Onana has been hotly tipped for an Emirates switch of late, amid increasing uncertainty surrounding the future of current no.1 Bernd Leno.
The Cameroonian’s contract in Amsterdam is due to expire in a year’s time, with his rumoured price-tag of just £7 million making a swoop an altogether appealing one for those in a position of power in North London.
As per a report from reliable journalist Chris Wheatley, however, to this point, Arsenal are yet to table an offer for Onana.
This comes with Mikel Arteta and co. also taking into consideration the addition of a homegrown UK shot-stopper, to add a further body to the club’s homegrown quota of players.
One such option touted in the media of late has been Newcastle United’s Freddie Woodman, tipped as a potential makeweight in a fresh Magpies move for Joe Willock.

The 2nd update to have come to the fore regarding Arsenal’s latest efforts on the transfer front, meanwhile, surrounds a possible addition at the other end of the pitch.
Young hitman Alexander Isak has of course enjoyed a summer to remember to date, acting as the star performer in a Sweden side which surprised the masses en route to topping Group E at Euro 2020.

The 21-year-old’s unique blend of size, athleticism and pure technical ability have already seen Isak secure a host of admirers across the continent, amid widespread suggestions that he could be snapped up by one of Europe’s heavyweights ahead of next season.
One such outfit named as particularly keen have been Arsenal, with the Gunners eyeing up a potential replacement for Alexandre Lacazette.
And, if the latest word stemming from the Spanish media is anything to go by, then Edu and co. look primed to step up their interest in Isak at any moment.
According to AS, Arsenal have already made first contact with the Real Sociedad talent’s representatives, to make their interest in his services clear.
Not only that, but it is suggested that, should Isak himself make his intention to join the club clear, the North Londoners will ‘do everything’ to make the transfer a reality. This includes the possibility of paying the striker’s release clause, to avoid being forced into negotiations with Sociedad.
