Raiding the Champions
If a side other than Paris Saint Germain win the Ligue 1 title, it is almost inevitable that their squad will be raided by other clubs.
This was shown when Monaco won the title in 2016/17. A consequence of their impressive campaign, Monaco lost nine players on permanent deals (as per transfermarkt), including the likes of Benjamin Mendy and Bernardo Silva to Manchester City, and Tiemoue Bakayoko to Chelsea, for a combined 150 million pounds.
This meant that, when Lille lifted the title on the final day, they were surely resigned to losing some of the club’s key players.
Gianluigi Donnarumma will leave AC Milan as a free agent in the next weeks. The decision has been made and it’s confirmed by Milan director Maldini: the goalkeeper will decide his next club soon.

Full-back Zeki Celik is also thought to have attracted interest from Arsenal.
Yazici out the door?
And now it looks as though yet another Lille star is potentially heading out the exit door, with Milan thought to be mulling over a move for Yusuf Yazici, the Turkish midfielder.
📳👥AC Milan are interested in Yusuf Yazıcı, who won the title with Lille last season.

The Rossoneri are in need of a creative force after losing Yazici’s compatriot Hakan Calhanoglu on a free transfer to city-rivals Inter. The Lille man managed fourteen goals and five assists in 42 appearances last season, forming a fine partnership with fellow Turk Burak Yilmaz.
However, the European Championships may have dented the 24-year-old’s value, with Turkey having failed to impress despite a strong line-up on paper.
It could well prove to be another astute signing for Milan, however, who have already splashed around 40 million pounds on Fikayo Tomori and Maignan, aiming to build on their strong second-placed finish in 2020/21.
