Leeds United’s supporters have taken to social media in numbers this evening, to question manager Marcelo Bielsa over what is viewed as a persistent mistake on the personnel front.
Antonio decides it
The Whites were of course back in action a short time ago.
On the back of an altogether underwhelming opening to the campaign, which had seen them fail to pick up a single victory across five league outings, Bielsa and co. welcomed West Ham to Elland Road.
In turn, when Leeds went on to take the lead in the clash courtesy of Raphinha’s pinpoint effort inside twenty minutes, the Peacocks faithful were no doubt hopeful that a first three-point haul of 2021/22 was indeed incoming:

When all was said and done, however, the hosts, again, ultimately collapsed.
First, a little over twenty minutes from time, Jarrod Bowen’s effort across goal deflected home off the unfortunate Junior Firpo.
Then, as full-time approached, the afternoon’s telling moment was forthcoming. Michail Antonio, in the midst of a stellar opening to the campaign, continued his fine form in front of goal, opening up Leeds’ backline before picking out the bottom corner of Illan Meslier’s net in style:

And this proved all she wrote when it came to the goalscoring in West Yorkshire, as West Ham climbed back up to 7th in the Premier League table.
Bielsa targeted
At stuttering Leeds, on the other hand, the inquest will now get underway.
The Whites, in their defence, are currently in the midst of something of a personnel crisis, with the likes of Diego Llorente, Pascal Struijk and Patrick Bamford having missed out on Saturday.
But the fact remains that the Yorkshire outfit, to this point in the campaign, have simply not performed anywhere close to their explosive potential.

As a result, in the aftermath of the full-time whistle at Elland Road, the Leeds faithful have opted to take aim at the club’s boss for one particular personnel decision, made once again this afternoon.
This comes in the form of the continued introduction of Tyler Roberts from the bench, at crucial points in the Peacocks’ fixtures.
The 22-year-old has long been singled out as simply not up to the standard of top-flight football, with frustrations, in turn, beginning to boil over:
What is it going to take Bielsa to realise Roberts is not good enough 😭😭

Tyler Roberts is definitely blackmailing Bielsa. There’s no other explanation as to how he keeps coming on when we’re chasing a game.

I am sure Roberts is related to Bielsa. Any other shit can’t define he being still ahead of Gelhardt

It’s so irritating how Bielsa has this love affair with Roberts. He’s terrible man
— BC (@BC_LUFC) September 25, 2021
Bielsa’s subs have been absolutely woeful this season so far. Roberts is never the answer. If you have to bring Raphinha off, bring Summerville on. The result today, hurts!

Can someone close to Bielsa tell him roberts is not the one. Stop using him
— richard (@richardworby) September 25, 2021
Hate to say it but Bielsa is making some awful mistakes, Roberts on for Anyone is a mistake he’s just a waste of a sub he really is . Also we sat back and let them back in . Summerville like for like for me with Raphinha I mean ability wise Raphinha ahead but still not Roberts
