A number of Liverpool’s stars have taken to social media this evening, to provide their respective takes on the club’s disappointing draw with Brentford.
Wissa strikes late
Jurgen Klopp’s men made the trip to West London a short time ago.
After continuing their stellar opening to the campaign courtesy of a League Cup ousting of Norwich during the week, the Reds returned to Premier League action, aiming to take advantage of slip-ups on the part of title rivals Manchester United and Chelsea.
And though, when all was said and done, Liverpool did move clear at the summit, they were likely none too satisfied with the eventual result.
This comes with a chaotic 90 minutes of action having ultimately seen both sides forced to settle for a share of the spoils, in a 3-3 draw.
After Curtis Jones added to strikes from Diogo Jota and Mohamed Salah late on, the visitors looked well on their way to all three points, and a 5th win from six to open the season.
Brentford, though, simply refused to accept defeat, bagging an all-important equaliser with 82 minutes on the clock courtesy of Yoane Wissa:

‘Keep perspective’
Liverpool, in turn, have climbed a point clear of both Chelsea and Manchester United atop the Premier League table.
On the back of a result which will nevertheless be widely viewed as disappointing, though, several of the Reds’ stars have since taken to social media, to provide their post-game reactions.
Check out the latest Twitter posts of all of Virgil van Dijk, Jordan Henderson and goalscorer Curtis Jones below:
Wild game and not the result we came for. Keeping perspective is important though. A point earned and still unbeaten. Respect to Brentford. Now focus on the Champions League 👊🏽 pic.twitter.com/TLj1xBaIGm
