Barcelona’s supporters have flooded to social media this evening, to sing the praises of two of the club’s latest up-and-coming La Masia stars.
Dutch duo on target
Ronald Koeman’s men returned to action a short time ago.
After stuttering to just a pair of points across meetings with Granada and Cadiz over the course of the last week, the Blaugrana were well aware that nothing but a victory would do, when they welcomed Levante to the Camp Nou for a La Liga clash.
And, when all was said and done, get back to winning ways is precisely what Barca managed.
A refreshingly dominant display, throughout which the hosts finally boasted an air of attacking impetus, eventually culminated in a 3-0 final scoreline.
Memphis Depay was first on target, slotting home from the penalty spot after being felled in the Levante area inside six minutes:

It was then two not long after, as summer arrival Luuk de Jong got his account in Barcelona colours up and running with a confident finish beyond Aitor Fernandez.
And there was then time for some gloss to be added to the scoreline late on, as the returning Ansu Fati sparked raucous celebrations around the Camp Nou, guiding Koeman and co. up to 5th in the Spanish top-flight table in the process:

‘The future’
On the back of the action coming to a close in Catalunya, owing to a display which realistically should have given rise to a much more considerable margin of victory, it has since come as little surprise to see a host of Barcelona’s stars singled out for praise.
The likes of Sergino Dest and Memphis Depay threatened throughout proceedings, playing central roles in the eventual result courtesy of a combined goal and assist.
None, however, have seen their names more widely highlighted in the matchup’s aftermath than midfield pair Gavi and Nico.
The two up and coming talents were handed surprise starts in the middle of the park this evening, in the absence of the sidelined Pedri and suspended Frenkie de Jong.
And to say that Nico and Gavi both went on to do their chances of further game-time over the remainder of the campaign little harm would be something of an understatement.
The gifted midfielders thoroughly impressed throughout, with the latter in particular, having only recently turned 17, looking primed to develop into a legitimate star in the near future.
In turn, the Barcelona faithful have since taken to social media in their absolute numbers, to make their excitement regarding the latest pair of La Masia first-team graduates crystal clear:
