A pair of Arsenal’s up-and-coming young stars have this evening etched their names into the history books of the club.

Mikel Arteta’s men are of course locked in action, in the marquee fixture of the Premier League weekend, at present.
The Gunners have welcomed arch rivals Tottenham Hotspur to the Emirates, for the latest edition of thee North London Derby.
It was Arsenal who headed into proceedings in much the better form of the two sides, having bounced back from a trio of defeats to open the season with a pair of 3-point hauls over the course of the last fortnight.
Spurs, on the other hand, had slipped to alarming 3-0 defeats at the hands of both Crystal Palace and Chelsea.

Few, however, could realistically have predicted just how one-sided the opening 45 minutes of action on Sunday would go on to prove.
Remarkably, Arsenal headed in at the break boasting a 3-0 advantage, on the back of one of the most dominant North London Derby displays in recent memory.
Emile Smith Rowe opened the game’s scoring inside a quarter of an hour, before Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang rounded out a stunning breakaway to make it two just shy of the 30-minute mark:

Then, before Spurs even had time to gather themselves, the hosts added a third, Bukayo Saka this time the man on target, to send the home crowd in attendance at the clash into delirious celebrations.
Saka usurps Smith Rowe
And, as outlined above, the dominance enjoyed by Arteta and co. to this point in proceedings in the English capital has since given rise to a pair of altogether noteworthy statistics.
First, after opening the scoring at the Emirates, before teeing up Aubameyang’s 2nd, it was revealed that Emile Smith Rowe had become the youngest player since Cesc Fabregas back in 2007 to both net and lay on for a teammate in a Premier League North London Derby:

Remarkably, though, just seven minutes later, ESR was usurped by teammate Bukayo Saka, who, after adding a goal to his assist for Smith Rowe, became the new owner of the Fabregas benchmark:
