Arsenal players past and present have taken to social media on Sunday night, to aim a series of digs at Nuno Espirito Santo’s Tottenham.
Saka & Smith Rowe shine
The Gunners were of course back in Premier League action earlier this evening, welcoming Spurs to the Emirates for the latest edition of the North London Derby.
Mikel Arteta’s men headed into proceedings brimming with confidence, hopeful of making it four wins on the bounce after recovering from a dismal opening to the campaign.
And, when all was said and done in the capital, keep their resurgence alive is precisely what Arsenal managed.
A scintillating display ultimately culminated in a 3-1 victory, guiding the hosts into the top half of the English top-flight for the first time this season.
Strikes from all of Emile Smith Rowe, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Bukayo Saka inside the opening 35 minutes put the Gunners firmly out of sight before the half-time whistle had even sounded, with Heung-min Son’s late finish having, in the end, proven little more than a consolation.

‘London is red’
In turn, on the back of the action coming to a close in North London, it has come as little surprise to see the Arsenal faithful flood to social media, to take aim at their Tottenham counterparts.
As outlined above, though, supporters of Mikel Arteta’s men are far from the only ones to have taken advantage of this evening’s opportunity to aim a dig at their fiercest rivals.
Joining such fans have been a host of Gunners players, past and present, including star stopper Gabriel Magalhaes, and legendary midfielder Gilberto Silva:
