Former Tottenham defender Serge Aurier has taken to social media, to reveal his altogether bemused response to the club’s showing versus Arsenal.
Arsenal 3-1 Tottenham
Nuno Espirito Santo of course guided Spurs into their latest North London Derby clash on Sunday, the first of the Portuguese’s stint in the English capital.
The Lilywhites entered proceedings nothing short of desperate for a positive result, having seen their positive opening to the campaign come crashing down in successive 3-0 defeats at the hands of Crystal Palace and Chelsea.
Upon the final whistle sounding at the Emirates, though, it proved more of the same from a stuttering Tottenham outfit.
Goals from all of Emile Smith Rowe, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Bukayo Saka saw Arsenal storm into a 3-0 lead inside 35 minutes, with Heung-min Son’s fine late finish, when all was said and done, having proven little more than a consolation.

‘Wow’
The 24 hours following the capital derby clash, in turn, have since seen Spurs inevitably subjected to widespread criticism, on the part of fans, neutrals, players and pundits alike.
A number of ex-Arsenal stars, for example,, made full use of the opportunity to poke fun at their one-time rivals in North London:
London is red… as usual 😉 #arsenal #coyg #ARSTOT

And, as outlined above, such Gunners have since been joined by a defender to have long plied his trade over on the Lilywhite half of the capital divide.
The player in question? Serge Aurier.
Taking to his the stories section of his Instagram account, Ivorian international Aurier, who departed Tottenham as a free agent just last month, posted a simple one-word reaction, aptly summing up the feelings of the club’s fanbase:
