Brighton & Hove Albion star Yves Bissouma is set to play no part in the club’s meeting with Crystal Palace on Monday night.
Seagulls soaring
Graham Potter’s men are set to return to action in less than an hour’s time.
After continuing their fine start to the campaign courtesy of a 2-0 downing of Swansea City in the EFL Cup last week, the Seagulls have made the trip to Selhurst Park, to take on Crystal Palace, in the latest edition of the M23 Derby.
The clash marks a return to Premier League matters, with Brighton currently sitting in the dizzying heights of 4th-place.
Not only that, but remarkably, after all of Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool dropped points this weekend, the seasiders are aware that a win of their own on Monday would guide them clear at the division’s summit.
This comes with Graham Potter’s men having racked up 12 points, courtesy of four wins from five thus far.

Bissouma latest
In turn, the club’s boss was likely desperate to have as many of his key performers as possible fit and available to feature at Selhurst.
It therefore no doubt came as a blow for all associated with the club when, upon Brighton’s latest XI being unveiled a short time ago, star midfielder Yves Bissouma was nowhere to be seen:

For those unaware, the Malian has been struggling with a knee injury over the course of the last week, with the issue having proven serious enough to rule him out of the final fixture of the Premier League gameweek:
