Porto vs Liverpool
Liverpool are currently locked in action with FC Porto in a Champions League clash.
The Reds headed into the game looking to cement their spot atop of their group following their opening game win over AC Milan.
Porto, though, were not expected to be a pushover. They had already kept Atletico Madrid quiet in their opening match of the 2021/22 Champions League campaign.
And, before facing off with Liverpool on Tuesday, were on an 18-game unbeaten run in all competitions.
Liverpool’s squad was also fairly light on quality vs Porto, with all of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Thiago, Harvey Elliott and Roberto Firmino missing from the matchday squad.
Mo Salah joins exclusive club
Despite all of this, though, Liverpool would take less than 20 minutes to open the scoring at the Estadio do Dragao.
And, of course, it would be Liverpool’s star man who put the visitors ahead.
Curtis Jones would cut inside from the left and curled an effort goalward, which was then pushed into the path of a Porto defender.
Said defender failed to control it properly, allowing Salah to sneak in and fire Liverpool in front.

After scoring the opener on Tuesday, it has now been revealed that Salah has joined an exclusive Champions League club.
As per Opta, Salah has become only the third African player to score 30 or more goals in the UEFA Champions League, after Didier Drogba (44) and Samuel Eto’o (30).
