Real Madrid could sanction massive double swoop
Global giant Real Madrid could be set for a massive summer in 2022 as the club have apparently received the green light for a wave of player recruitment with some of the biggest names in the game on their priority list.
According to Radio Marca and Gol journalist Ramón Alvarez, La Liga has confirmed the raising of its salary limit and thus Madrid will be able to move for both Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappé as well as Borussia Dortmund’s Norwegian wunderkind Erling Haaland.

Mbappé was just one step from sealing a move to the Santiago Bernabeu this summer on deadline day if not for PSG sporting director Leonardo staunchly resisting Los Blancos‘ late advances as the Parisian outfit was not desperate for financial compensation and have consigned themselves to losing the French starlet on a free in the summer.
As for Haaland, the Norse hitman remains one of the most sought after forwards in Europe and has been linked with a host of clubs from Madrid, to Premier League outfits Manchester City, Manchester United, and Chelsea while loose links with Bayern Munich have also been mentioned previously.

Despite Karim Benzema still proving his worth for Madrid this season, Haaland offers an ideal long-term replacement in a long line of top-level forwards that ply their trade in the Spanish capital.
Galacticos Mk.III?
For a club that is known – for better or worse – for going through periods of stockpiling some of the best and brightest from the period like fine art dealers, Real Madrid are seemingly on the cusp of yet another Galacticos assembly.

Having secured the services of highly-rated French teenager Eduardo Camavinga – who has already had a big impact in Madrid despite the tenderness of his youth – also added David Alaba to their ranks this summer.
On top of the two acquisitions, the likes of Ferland Mendy, Vinícius Júnior, and Rodrygo are already at the club as well as Casemiro, Éder Militão, and Thibault Courtois.
Should deals for both Mbappé and Haaland be completed, Madrid would be well on their way to another attempt at building a super team.
