Pressure builds on Nuno Espirito Santo
Arsenal put another three past Tottenham on the way to a 3-1 victory over Nuno Espirito Santo’s side, inflicting their 3rd defeat in three games.
Nine goals conceded, and just one scored in that time, has seen them undo all of their good work that earnt Santo manager of the month for August, and fall below their north London rivals in the table.

Duncan Castles reports that replacements are already being considered for the Portuguese:
The information I have is that Tottenham are already considering replacements for Nuno and also that this is not necessarily a unilateral process in the sense that Nuno, I’m told, is not happy with his circumstances at Tottenham. It’s not what he expected when he came into the club so there’s discontent on both sides there.

Espirito Santo claims players still believe
Speaking ahead 0f Tottenham’s Europa Conference League tie against NS Mura, Santo remained bullish however, and reiterated that he thought he had the players backing despite the poor performances:
“Yeah, totally believe. There’s no doubts about that because we work together every day, we prepare together and these moments we need to stick together.
Tottenham boss Nuno Espirito Santo insists he was told the club’s philosophy when he took charge in the summer and is determined to win over Spurs supporters.

And the belief is the first step to do things and we have it. You have to realise sometimes it’s not possible. Sometimes opponents is better than you and you have to be humble to give credit and sometimes you don’t perform. Sometimes the plan is no good.
The belief in all of us is here.”
Can Tottenham and Nuno turn it around after the next international break?
