Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has provided an update on two Manchester United stars on Wednesday.
Rashford undergoes surgery
The Red Devils are set to face off with Villarreal in a Champions League clash on Wednesday evening.
They must then host Everton in a Premier League clash in Saturday’s early kick-off.
United will face off with both sides without the services of Marcus Rashford.
Throughout last season, Rashford was forced to deal with persistent injury issues, with it reported in July that he may be forced to undergo surgery this summer.
And Rashford, in turn, indeed went under the knife over the summer.
Thank you for all the well wishes. I had my surgery on Friday morning and everything went very well. A little sore but other than that I’m feeling good. Hope you’re all having a great day! ♥️ pic.twitter.com/cUZQpS0wIi

Rashford & Diallo update
Said surgery would see Rashford miss the start of the 2021/22 campaign.
However, as mentioned above, Solskjaer has now provided an update on Rashford and has outlined a potential return timetable for the Englishman.
When speaking about both Rashford and Amad Diallo, the Norwegian claimed they are both a few weeks away, but he is hopeful they can be available after the international break.
“They’re still a few weeks away so, hopefully after the international break, they could be available.
“They’re working hard, both of them positive, and it’s been a long, long time for Marcus of course. Probably the longest he’s been out but he’s needed it.
“He looks raring to go, happy and he knows he’s missed out on pre-season, but he’s done loads of good conditioning work and should be ready soon.”
