Supporters of both Manchester United and Chelsea have taken to social media in their numbers this evening, to call for the addition of West Ham United standout Declan Rice.
Rice on target
Rice and co. are of course currently locked in action on the continent.
After making it two wins on the bounce courtesy of a 2-1 downing of Leeds United at the weekend, the Irons tonight turned their attentions back towards matters in Europe.
David Moyes’ men welcomed Austrian outfit Rapid Wien to the London Stadium, eyeing back-to-back victories to open their Europa League campaign.
And, as things stand, maximum points is exactly what West Ham are headed towards.
The capital outfit lead Rapid by a goal to nil, courtesy of the latest telling contribution on the part of the aforementioned Rice.
After surging into the visitors’ box from deep on the half-hour mark, the Hammers’ midfield star was rewarded by Michail Antonio, who laid it on a plate for Rice to slot home with his left foot, sparking joyous celebrations around the London Stadium:
That is a brilliant team goal from West Ham! 🙌
Declan Rice scores again in the Europa League, but it’s all about the control and pass from Michail Antonio… 🤤

‘Bring him home’
The latest efforts of West Ham’s general in the middle of the park have caught the eye of far more than simply the Irons’ adoring fanbase on Thursday evening, though.
As outlined above, supporters of both Manchester United and Chelsea have too taken to social media in their droves, to plead with their respective outfits to target the English international ahead of the upcoming January window.
The United-themed highlights can be found below:
Dear Ole, sign Rice. That’s all. @ManUtd

Man we NEED Declan rice! He’s made more forward runs into the penalty area from deep than McFred in their whole career! Pogba did it well yesterday and I reckon Donny could do it given time but still SIGN RICE

Ole said he picks McTominay and Fred because they have “energy, passion and desire”, no mention of their skills/traits as an actual player

Just some of the many Rice to Chelsea calls, meanwhile, are exhibited here:
You know what I think is crazy, how people were talking shit about Rice, that he’s not good enough, not what we need, bla bla bla.
Rice is exactly who we need

Said it once I’ll say it again. I need declan rice at Chelsea.

Declan Rice for £80m is a no brainer. Putting at least 7/10 performance every match. Club captain. Media talks about him a lot. Hated by rivals. Loves Chelsea.
I really don’t know what more you want!
