An insight into on-loan Manchester United defender Axel Tuanzebe potentially making his loan move to Aston Villa permanent has been forthcoming on Friday.
Latest Villans stint
Gifted young stopper Tuanzebe of course secured a return to Villa Park this past summer.
After impressing across a pair of previous spells with the Claret and Blue, the ex-English youth international was granted yet another loan switch to Aston early in August, after struggling for game-time with parent club United throughout 2020/21.
And to say that Tuanzebe has since enjoyed an upturn in fortunes since swapping Manchester for Birmingham would be something of an understatement.
The 23-year-old has already been afforded five starts across all competitions, one more than he managed across the entirety of last season.
In fact, before last weekend, Tuanzebe’s fine form had seen him manage a trio of successive Premier League starts, a run which was only brought to an end due to his ineligibility to line out at Old Trafford.

‘Up the Villa’
Their on-loan defender went on to endear himself ever further to the Aston Villa faithful on Thursday, meanwhile, when, in a post on social media, Tuanzebe unveiled the following message:
‘Villa fans. The trust, love, chant and support is heartfelt. Thank you very much. Up the villa.’
And this sentiment, in turn, has since been followed by an insight into the possibility of the talented defender finally making his time at Villa Park permanent next summer.
The info comes courtesy of the Birmingham Mail, who report that a source close to the player assures that he has ‘found his smile and (is) loving football again’.
Even more significantly, it is then added that ‘Tuanzebe would be open to one day considering the West Midlands his home on a permanent basis’.
