Man United see off Villarreal
Manchester United would face off against Villarreal in a Champions League clash on Wednesday.
After losing their opening group game of the season to Young Boys, a win was most certainly needed by the Red Devils against Unai Emery and co.
However, things did not start off too well for Man United, with Paco Alcacer firing the visitors into the lead after 53 minutes.
United did not take long to level things up, with Alex Telles’ effort after 60 minutes making it 1-1.
However, as the game wore on, it did look as though the Manchester outfit would be forced to settle for a point.
Luckily for Man United, some heroics from Jesse Lingard would lead to Cristiano Ronaldo lashing home a 95th-minute winner in the tie:

Why Ronaldo was upset
Following the game, though, Alex Telles has explained why CR7 was upset before scoring the goal.
The Brazilian claims that five minutes before the winner, Ronaldo was upset that he had not received any balls:
“So, it was the first time I play with him.
“Off the pitch, we already have this closer relationship because we speak Portuguese.
“And five minutes before he was a little upset that we didn’t get any balls to him.
“I said ‘it will arrive, it will arrive, stay concentrated because it will arrive’. And as soon as I went off, Ronaldo doesn’t need much, right?
“We know his quality, we see it on a daily basis. So it only took one ball in the box and he gave us the victory. It’s a dream.”
Ronaldo did appear to have a point, having just one shot on target vs Villarreal. However, that one shot was enough for his side to pick up a huge three points.
