Pep Guardiola’s legacy
Pep Guardiola is one of the most decorated managers in history, having racked up 33 trophies across three clubs in his career to date.
The Spaniard is known for his tactical discipline, proving a disciple of Johan Cruyff’s tiki-taka style of football, but adapting it slightly to fit the more modern demands of football, especially in the Premier League.

However, not all are fans of the Spaniard’s way of dealing with his players, not least Yaya Toure, who accused Guardiola of racism after falling foul of him at both Barcelona and Manchester City.
Danilo speaks out
One of those who seemingly also struggled to get on with his one-time boss is Juventus and Brazil full-back Danilo, who spent three years at Manchester City.
Although he racked up 60 appearances during his time in Manchester, he was in and out of the side both due to competition with Kyle Walker and injury issues that the Brazilian suffered.

Swapped for Joao Cancelo in 2020, Danilo has found himself playing more regularly once more, and made 34 appearances last campaign.
Now speaking to Football Italia, Danilo revealed how he found working with different managers, and claimed that:
“I’ve been lucky, they are different, but they are all winners. I have tried to learn from everyone. It was with Guardiola that I changed my way of seeing things, I didn’t play much also because of an injury.
“It’s true that it’s not easy to have a good relationship with him, he is never relaxed, he thinks about football all the time. I think at home, in the evening, he puts his wife on the couch as she were a player on the pitch.
Can Guardiola continue to keep his superstar squad happy this season, or will his constant desire for perfection lead to burnout?
