Man City held by Liverpool
The final Premier League clash before the dreaded international break played out on Sunday evening.
The game would pit Liverpool against Manchester City at Anfield. The Reds headed into the match unbeaten in all competitions this season, but would be dominated for large stretches by Pep Guardiola’s side.
Despite this, Sadio Mane opened the scoring for Liverpool on the day:

Phil Foden then equalised for Man City after 69 minutes:

Liverpool probably also should have gone down to 10 men late on when James Milner fouled Bernardo Silva for what should have been a clear second yellow.
Milner, however, stayed on the pitch and played a role in Liverpool’s second goal of the day, which was a stunning strike from Mohamed Salah.
However, Salah’s strike was cancelled out by Kevin De Bruyne, with the final whistle eventually blowing with the score at 2-2.
Man City complain to Liverpool as staff allegedly spat at
Following what was a fairly heated game, a rather unsavoury report has come to light.
As reported by various sources post-game, Man City have made a complaint to Liverpool after a member of their backroom staff was allegedly spat at during the celebrations when Phil Foden equalised.
It is added that City have the incident on one of their cameras:
