And, as outlined above, owing to Højbjerg’s rare goalscoring exploits this afternoon, the man to have teed him up – Heung-min Son – has reached an altogether impressive Premier League milestone.
South Korean international Son’s latest assist marked his 40th in the English top-flight.
As revealed by Squawka Football, this is the same number as was managed by former Lilywhites hitman Dimitar Berbatov across the entirety of his illustrious Premier League career (Spurs, Manchester United & Fulham), etching Son’s name ever further into the history books at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Son Heung-min has now provided as many Premier League assists as Dimitar Berbatov (40).
