Arsenal have found themselves linked with three high-quality left-wingers in the last several days.

Insight into Arsenal’s transfer plans?

All of the players mentioned are very much capable of being used from the left-wing. Perhaps this is an indication of the type of player Arsenal are looking to target in future windows?

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has spent a decent amount of time being used as Arsenal’s main left-winger in recent years.

But Auba has been playing as a centre-forward fairly frequently of late. And, with Alexandre Lacazette out of contract at the end of the season, perhaps the Gunners may be looking to move Aubameyang up top on a more regular basis and sign a new left-winger instead of a striker?

This is only speculation, of course, but it does seem unlikely that Arsenal would be linked with three left-wingers in such a short period and not want to sign any of them?

But who are the three wingers in question?

The first is Goncalo Guedes, who is currently plying his trade in Valencia. The 24-year-old is a natural left-winger who has scored 25 and assisted 26 in 144 outings for the Spanish powerhouse.

And, according to Fichajes, Arsenal and Liverpool would be very interested in taking over the services of Guedes, who will have just one year left on his current contract at the end of this season.

Next up, reports stemming from Italy have suggested that Arsenal are supposedly leading the pack in the race to sign Napoli’s Lorenzo Insigne.

Insigne is out of contract with Napoli in the summer and, as a result, can sign a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs as early as January.

And finally, the Daily Star have reported that Arsenal are keeping a close watch on Raheem Sterling’s contract talks at Manchester City.

Arteta is said to be a huge admirer of the winger. And as Sterling only has 20 months left on his current deal, he is one of those at the top of the north Londoners’ list of potential transfer targets.
