An interesting story surrounding former Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil’s recent behaviour has begun to turn heads online on Monday.
Fener stint
Ozil, of course, secured a long-awaited exit from North London in January of 2021.
After being deemed as surplus to requirements, and subsequently banished to the sidelines by Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, it came as little surprise when a mutual agreement regarding a contract termination was forthcoming.
The German, in turn, went on to put pen to paper on terms with Turkish giants Fenerbahce, seeing out the remainder of the 2020/21 campaign in Istanbul.

Ozil has since gone on to enjoy something of a mixed start to the new season, chipping in with two goals and an assist across appearances in six of Fener’s eight Super Lig outings thus far.
Just three of these showings, however, have come in the form of starts.
Ozil fumes
And, as outlined above, this past weekend, the 32-year-old finally made clear his unhappiness with his level of recent game-time.
Fenerbahce were back in action on Sunday, welcoming Kasimpasa to the Turkish capital in the hopes of maintaining their spot atop the Super Lig table.
And, when all was said and done, the Yellow Canaries managed exactly that, courtesy of a 2-1 win.
The eventual result, however, did not come without its fair share of drama.
Ozil, on the back of a bout of illness, was benched from the off versus Kasimpasa, with Diego Rossi instead utilised in an attacking midfield role for the hosts.
The former, though, continued to warm up along the sidelines for a full 40 minutes over the course of the 2nd-half, evidently keen to make his mark on proceedings.
In turn, as the matchup entered its closing stages, and it became increasingly apparent that he would not be afforded a 7th appearance of the campaign, Ozil made his feelings crystal clear.
Making his way back to the bench, the midfield enigma tossed his bib in the direction of manager Vitor Pereira, sparking criticism over the 24 hours since.
