Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has, on Thursday night, been drawn on the possibility of securing a return to Italy with Serie A giants Juventus.
Pogba’s uncertain future
The subject of Pogba’s Old Trafford future has of course come back to the fore in a major way of late.
This comes with the French midfielder’s current terms in Manchester due to come to an end in less than a year’s time.
In turn, with Pogba fresh off the back of a stellar start to the new campaign – which saw him make history with a whopping seven assists across four Premier League appearances – it should come as little surprise to hear that those in a position of power at the Theatre of Dreams are now pushing their midfield enigma to commit his future to the club.
An update on the situation midway through September, meanwhile, pointed towards progress being made towards precisely that.
On the back of United’s Premier League downing of Newcastle, it was revealed that Pogba was ‘leaning towards’ penning a new deal with the Red Devils, having been boosted by the return of Cristiano Ronaldo:

This was followed by a further update on the situation earlier today, when French outlet L’Equipe suggested that the 28-year-old is indeed prepared to pen fresh terms in Manchester, albeit only if made the Premier League’s best-paid player.
‘Let’s see…’
In turn, speaking to the media this evening, it came as little surprise when Pogba was drawn on his future once more.
After playing a key role in France’s remarkable comeback win over Belgium in the Nations League’s semi-finals, the midfielder was pressed on the possibility of a return to Italy with Juventus.
This came with tonight’s international action having played out at the Bianconeri’s Allianz Stadium in Turin.
And, in a no doubt concerning development for the United faithful, Pogba point-blank refused to rule out the possibility, admitting that he remains in constant contact with Juve attacker Paulo Dybala:
Paul Pogba answers about Juventus comeback: “I like Torino! [laughs] I always speak with former Juve team-mates like Dybala. I’m in Manchester now, I’m under contract until June then let’s see. I want to complete this season at best level – then we see”, he told Mediaset 🔴 #MUFC pic.twitter.com/5Ydrhc5oEU
