Real Madrid’s supporters have flocked to social media on Thursday, to express their excitement on the back of France’s comeback win over Belgium.
Theo at the death
Didier Deschamps’ men were of course back in action a short time ago.
After Spain got the better of Italy in the first of two Nations League semi-final fixtures on Wednesday night, Les Bleus faced off with Belgium, eyeing their own spot in the tournament’s finale.
And, when all was said and done, this is precisely what the world champions managed.
A chaotic 90 minutes ultimately saw France recover from two goals down, to emerge on the right side of a 3-2 scoreline.
Yannick Carrsco and Romelu Lukaku sent Roberto Martinez’s Belgium into the interval boasting a two-goal advantage, and looking well on their way to a shot at a first-ever piece of silverware:

The French, though, emerged for the 2nd-half looking like a completely different animal.
After Karim Benzema pulled one back courtesy of a fine finish on the turn just beyond the hour mark, the ever-involved Kylian Mbappe levelled the score from the penalty spot twenty minutes from time:

Then, just minutes after Romelu Lukaku saw what looked set to prove the evening’s decider ruled out for offside, Les Bleus proved their mettle once more, bagging a brilliant winner courtesy of in-form AC Milan left-back Theo Hernandez.
France, in turn, march on, ahead of a Nations League showpiece clash with Spain on Sunday evening.
Benz x Mbappe
The Bleus contingent jumping for joy on the back of the action coming to a close in Turin on Thursday, meanwhile, were joined in their numbers by one particular set of club supporters.
The outfit in question? Real Madrid.
Los Blancos were of course hotly tipped to land Kylian Mbappe during the summer transfer window, with Florentino Perez and co. widely expected to relaunch their pursuit of the 22-year-old in the new year.
In turn, upon Mbappe linking up with current Real hitman Karim Benzema to such devastating effect versus Belgium, the club’s fanbase could not help but get excited at the prospect of things to come in the Spanish capital over the seasons ahead.
