Cristiano Ronaldo has picked up his first Premier League award since his return to Manchester United over the summer.
Ronaldo’s return
Ronaldo played out three Premier League games for Manchester United during the month of September.
On his 2nd debut, the Portuguese netted a brace as United saw off Newcastle United by four goals to one.

Ronaldo then scored one vs West Ham, as the Red Devils secured a last-gasp win over the Hammers.
This would be followed by the 5-time Ballon d’Or winner failing to register either a goal or assist, as his side limped to their first league defeat of the season at the hands of Aston Villa.

Ronaldo named Premier League Player of the Month
Following these outings, on Friday, the Premier League has confirmed that Ronaldo has been named as the Premier League Player of the Month for September.
It marks CR7’s fifth Player of the Month award, and first since March of 2008, having won four during his first spell at Old Trafford.
The Man United forward topped a six-man shortlist that also included Manchester City’s Joao Cancelo, Chelsea’s Antonio Rudiger, Newcastle’s Allan Saint-Maximin, Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah and Watford’s Ismaila Sarr.
Both Salah and Sarr also provided three goals in three league games in September, with the latter the only player on the list whose side did not lose across the month.
