An altogether noteworthy statistic surrounding Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, and club legend Arsene Wenger, has come to the fore on Friday evening.
Back on song
On the back of a frankly abysmal opening to the campaign, which saw them slip to defeat in each of the club’s opening three Premier League fixtures, Arteta’s Gunners have of course turned things around in a major way of late.
Across the month of September, Arsenal rattled off no fewer than four consecutive victories across all competitions.
Alongside a 3-0 drubbing of AFC Wimbledon in the League Cup, the North Londoners got the better of all of Norwich City, Burnley and Tottenham, to climb into the top-half of the English top-flight.
The latter of these results proved particularly significant, as the Arsenal faithful were finally treated to a glimpse of just how devastating their side can look, when firing on all cylinders.

The club’s most recent outing did see Arteta and co. brought back down to earth somewhat, in a 0-0 stalemate with Brighton & Hove Albion.
Wenger matched
But, nevertheless, owing to his fine efforts across the month of September, on Friday, Arsenal’s boss has clinched a highly-coveted individual prize.
This comes in the form of the Premier League Manager of the Month award:

And, as outlined above in securing his first-ever MOTM accolade, a statistic which will no doubt pique the attentions of Gunners supporters across the globe has surfaced surrounding Mikel Arteta.
As per OptaJoe statistician Orbinho, Arteta’s maiden Premier League Manager of the Month award was forthcoming in the 15th full month of his reign in the English top-flight.
Coincidentally, this marks the exact same length of time that it took Arsenal managerial icon Arsene Wenger to achieve the same feat:
