Training ground footage confirms major Crystal Palace boost ahead of Arsenal

The latest footage stemming from the training ground of Premier League outfit Crystal Palace will no doubt bring a smile to the faces of the Eagles faithful.

On the up

The early weeks of the new season, all told, have proven something of a mixed bag at Selhurst Park.

On the back of a summer of change, which saw long-time boss Roy Hodgson replaced by Patrick Vieira, and a host of impressive squad reinforcements arrive in South London, Palace, initially, struggled to find their feet.

More recent weeks, though, have proven of an encouraging nature, with summer arrivals Marc Guehi, Conor Gallagher and Michael Olise having played key roles in just a solitary defeat in the club’s last five outings across all competitions.

The highlight of this stretch of course proved a 3-0 derby drubbing of Tottenham, whilst the Eagles also showcased impressive resilience in recovering from two goals down to secure a share of the spoils at home to Leicester City last time out.

As such, the Palace faithful are no doubt confident in their side’s chances of kicking on towards a spot in the Premier League’s top half over the weeks ahead.

Eze back in action

And, as outlined above, ahead of their next outing – another capital showdown, this time with Arsenal – Vieira and co. have today been handed a boost.

This comes in the form of an altogether welcome return on the personnel front.

As showcased below, the club’s latest training session on Saturday saw key midfielder Eberechi Eze, yet to feature this season owing to an Achilles injury, return to the fray.

It now remains to be seen whether another full week of training ahead will prove enough to see the 23-year-old mark his comeback at the Emirates on Monday, October 18th.
