Ralf Rangnick has made a prediction regarding Manchester United’s Scott McTominay after their game with Aston Villa.
Manchester United see off Aston Villa
Manchester United were in FA Cup action on Monday evening, facing off with Aston Villa in the 4th round.
Man United headed into the game looking to bounce back from a dismal showing vs Wolves in the Premier League.
And whilst their performance on the evening was not great, they still, thanks to some help from VAR, came away with a 1-0 win.
The only goal of the match came after eight minutes when Scott McTominay and Fred combined:

Manchester United will now face Chris Wilder’s Middlesbrough in the 4th round.
Ralf Rangnick’s Scott McTominay prediction
Following the game, Ralf Rangnick picked out one Manchester United star for praise.
As mentioned above, United as a squad did not perform too well, but Scott McTominay was perhaps their brightest spark on the evening.
And when praising McTominay post-Villa, the United boss predicted that the midfielder could become the club’s captain in a couple of years:
“He is an academy boy, his energy is amazing.
“He now also starts scoring goals and also with some leadership skills.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if in a couple of years he would be the captain of this team.”
