Arsenal have been dealt another pair of striker blows as they look to add a forward to Mikel Arteta’s side that currently lacks a focal point.
101 covered the news earlier today that Arsenal had seen a bid for Real Sociedad striker Alexander Isak turned down, with the Spanish club holding firm for his 90 million euro release clause.
And now, the Gunners have been dealt another blow, as Alvaro Morata is seemingly set to stay at Juventus despite late interest from Arsenal.
It was thought that the north London side explored the possibility of a loan move with Atletico Madrid, Morata’s parent club, but could not come to an agreement on potential terms of any temporary move.
As per Gary Jacob of The Times
“Arsenal have been unable to secure a deal after talks with Alvaro Morata, who is expected to stay on loan at Juventus from Atletico Madrid. The former Chelsea striker wanted an 18-month loan to move to north London while Atletico insisted on a mandatory purchase option at the end of the period.”

De Tomas staying?
Meanwhile, Football.London report that it would be ‘very difficult’ to complete a late deal for Espanyol striker Raul De Tomas, who Arsenal were rumoured to be interested in over the weekend.
Raul De Tomas’ representative tells me it will be ‘very difficult’ to finalise a late transfer, amid reports linking the Espanyol man with a move to Arsenal.

Should he stay in Spain, it will be up to Arsenal to find another ace up their sleeve.
