New Chelsea boss Graham Potter is reportedly planning to recall Callum Hudson Odoi from his Bayer Leverkusen loan stint.
The England international fell out-of-favour under former manager Thomas Tuchel, and he was loaned out to the Bundesliga outfit.
Hudson-Odoi has since fared decently with one goal from five appearances, but his temporary stint could be curtailed in January.
The Blues have the option to recall him as part of the agreement, and they could exercise the clause under Potter’s recommendation.
Potter will be backed with funds during the winter transfer window, but he is also expected to work with some of the fringe players.
The Englishman has been touted to change the club’s tactical formation, and Hudson-Odoi could play in a more attacking position.
The Blues graduate was restricted to playing time from the wing-back role under Tuchel. His fortunes could change under Potter.
Chelsea have made a slow start to the new Premier League campaign. They are currently seventh in the standings with 10 points.
