Marc Marquez dominated Aragon Motogue in 2025 and expanded his title lead after a perfect weekend on the track, where Ducati first win a year ago.

For the first time since Sachsenring in 2015, Ducati Lenovo riders have put all the track sessions they are eligible to participate this weekend.

Marquez finished the run of five different winners on his past five GPS, avoiding his younger brother and his nearest title rival Alex.

Aragon: New 2025 MotoGP World Championship Rankings

Mark Marquez was always under control, but Gresini rider Alex faced pressure from other Ducati factories in Francesco Bagnaia, as well as from Pedro Acosta and Brad Binder KTMs.

The Acosta was the only rider who chose hard front tires.

The KTM riders spent their early stages in a fun duel with Bagnaia in a third. The calamity of the Italian front-end was reduced as he calmed down with each attack by Acosta.

But they both had caught Alex Marquez. Binder had completed a close group by the time of the midway stage.

When the binder slid down in turn 3, it became a 3-rider gang, and Yamaha’s Fabio Qualu Tararo quickly crashed from 10th place on turn 1.

Alex Marquez kept Bagnaia in the bay to confirm his first Grand Prix runner-up finish in Kota since round three.

Acosta settled in fourth, but rookie Fermin Aldegar and VR46’s Franco Morbidelli fought hard for the fifth time, including hitting the fairing straight into the back.

HRC’s Joan Mir, who was defeated by Jack Miller early on Saturday, avoided trouble to get his best Grand Prix results since Indonesia 2023.

Maverick Vinall was just behind Mir when he lost the front line of Tech3 KTM.

Johann Zarko crashed to complete the unfortunate weekend for LCR riders.

HRC’s Luca Marini was missing this weekend after suffering multiple injuries while testing a superbike at Suzuki in Japan.

Rookie Ai Ogura was also absent due to Silverstone’s injuries. Both riders were not replaced.

Yamaha test rider Augusto Fernandez played for the fourth Grand Prix of the season, but first as a wild card, after facing Miguel Oliveira, who was previously injured in Pramac.

Aprilia’s test rider Lorenzo Sabadri has been replaced once again by world champion Jorge Martin, who was injured in Prilia.

The second MOTOGP test during the 2025 season will be followed by Moto2 title leader Manuel Gonzalez, who will make his premier class debut in a “one-off” ride at the trackhouse.
