At Jimmy Butler’s exit, the Miami Heat is looking for the next big superstar.
For many years, the Miami Heat has been some of the most talented players in NBA history, including LeBron James.
Over the past six years or so, Jimmy Butler has been the face of the franchise, but the franchise hopes to land another famous superstar as he traded with the Golden State Warriors.
Throughout the offseason, the heat has been linked to Giannis Antetocompo. But does that hypothetical movement make sense? That’s not the case, according to 2X NBA champion Mario Chalmers.
Chalmers won two NBA championships in the heat, so he knows one or two things about the more famous “heat culture” ever.
With that in mind, Chalmers recently appeared in Scoop B Selects. There he honestly showed the possibility that Giannis Antetokounmpo would be suitable for the heat.
“No. I haven’t seen Giannis fit. I’m not saying it’s heat culture, but it’s just the heat team. You have to put a lot of shooters around him on that team.
This is not the first time Chalmers has shot down Giannis due to the heat. Either way, as things stand, Antetokounmpo appears to be happy with the Milwaukee Bucks, even after Damian Lillard’s amazing departure.
Another Eastern Congressional side looking for a superstar is nothing more than the Toronto Raptors.
Chalmers were asked about how suitable it is for Giannis’ Raptors. If Greek freaks join the Canadian side, the 2x NBA champions will be happy.
“Undoubtedly, they’re more active. They’re like a team that’s up and down, and they have a lot of young, hungry guys who like to run and go up and down. And that’s the game for Giannis,” explained Chalmers.
As mentioned before, Antetokounmpo has no desire to leave the Bucks, at least for now. However, if the Bucks remain a mediocre team by the NBA trade deadline next season, his stance could change.
