The Golden State Warriors defeated the New Orleans Pelicans thanks in large part to Moses Moody having a career night.
The Golden State Warriors continued their hot streak by defeating the New Orleans Pelicans, extending their winning streak to three.
After Stephen Curry’s historic performance against the Spurs, many expected the superstar to continue his great form against one of the NBA’s worst teams.
Do you think this will be LeBron James’ last season?
However, Curry’s streak of insane performances stopped at 2 as he struggled from the field, scoring just 9 points on 2-for-11 shooting.
Fortunately, Moses Moody regained his starting spot for the Warriors last week and had the best performance of his career to help the Warriors win.
Moses Moody led the Golden State Warriors in scoring that night, scoring 32 points on 10-for-16 shooting. What made things even more special was the night he achieved his record.
Moody performed well, making seven 3-point shots in the first quarter. In doing so, he joins Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson as the only Warriors players to make seven threes in one quarter.
Moody finished the game 8-12 from beyond the arc, showing how deadly he can be when he has confidence.
The Golden State Warriors made 24 3-pointers against the New Orleans Pelicans, shooting 43% from the field. This is the highest three-point total so far this season.
One of the Warriors’ biggest struggles this season has been 3-point shooting, with no one other than Stephen Curry able to shoot from beyond the arc.
Tonight, the tables were turned. Curry made just one 3-pointer, leaving the rest of the team to shoulder the burden from long range.
Many felt that if the Pelicans fired Willie Green, the team could turn things around. However, many problems plagued them again.
The Pelicans were particularly bad at shooting the ball from beyond the arc, going 8-29 with a success rate of just 28%. They also failed to shoot from the field, shooting just 45% from the field.
The Warriors defense has to be given credit as they were able to contest enough shots to shake up the Pelicans offensively.
The Golden State Warriors will now travel to Orlando to take on the Magic, looking to extend their winning streak to four games.
