Arsenal has been linked to the moves of Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez during the summer transfer.
According to a report by Spanish publication Marca via Sport Witness, they will face competition with Premier League champions Liverpool.
Both clubs are passionate about the 25-year-old World Cup winner, and it’s still not clear where he will be in the end. He has been an outstanding player for Atletico Madrid since joining the club, scoring 29 goals in his debut campaign. The player also has seven assists in his name.
It remains to be seen whether the two Premier League clubs can convince them to sell players to Spanish costumes. He is definitely an important player to them, but the interest in the two Premier League clubs is reportedly growing.
Arsenal needs a World Cup winner
Arsenal is pushing to close the deal, and it’s no surprise that they want to sign players. They need a reliable striker who will lead the line for them. Gabriel Jesus has not been able to score goals consistently, and Arsenal needs more depth in the attacking force.
The 25-year-old is well aware of the Premier League, winning the league title at Manchester City and making an immediate impact at Arsenal.

Similarly, Liverpool is in need of an upgrade from Darwin Nunes. Darwin Nunes has been extremely overwhelmed this season. South America has scored just seven goals in all competitions, making Alvarez a major upgrade.
He has signed a contract with a Spanish club until 2030, which could cost a considerable amount. It is still unknown how the situation will unfold.
Liverpool will need to improve multiple areas of their team, making it difficult to pay a substantial amount to a World Cup winner.
