Liverpool may be forced to sign a new right winger if Mohamed Sara leaves the club at the end of the season.
Sarah is one of Liverpool’s three heavyweights, with the other two being Trent Alexander Arnold and Virgil Van Dyke. And while he is confident that he will sign a new deal before the existing ones go away, preparations are made for his potential departure.
Over the past few months, many names have linked to Liverpool, but the most intense interest that Premier League leaders have in one of them is Takefusa kubo.
Liverpool’s target Takefusa Kubo may be available this summer
According to TeamTalk, Kubo is a priority to sign Liverpool’s right-wing position, and if a move occurs in the summer, he could potentially be able to sign for less than the release clause of 60 million euros (£50 million).
Kubo’s real Sociedad had a disastrous season. Their hopes for European qualifications have been eliminated after being knocked out of Copa del Rey at the hands of Real Madrid on Tuesday after the second leg of the classic semi-final at the Santiago Bernabeu.
They are far out of the La Liga pace, and if they finish the season outside of European locations, there will be a significant increase in sales chances. And Kubo will become one of the players most likely to be cashed out.
Tottenham and Bayern Munich are also said to be interested in Kubo, but the prospect of being Mohamed Sarah’s successor in Liverpool will certainly seduce Japan’s international. For now, there is unlikely to be a bit of movement until more is known about whether Egyptians will be staying in Anfield or not.
