Newly promoted Leeds United continued to excel in many Premier League games, avoiding their second loss. They won the Wolverhampton Wanderers 3-1 last week, winning a 2-2 draw against the high-flying Bournemouth.
It was a disappointing start for the white man, who scored a goal in the 26th minute thanks to Antoine Semeño. The Ganian winger scored a great low free kick to give Elland Road’s lead to the away side.
However, Leeds responded perfectly. First, Joe Rodon found the back of the net and 11 minutes after admitting, heading for the cross from Sean Longstaff. The Newcastle United Academy star rode the scoresheet on the other side of halftime. He encountered a loose ball in the half boree and fired it into the house just inside the penalty area, putting Leeds first.
When Daniel Fark’s side seemed to hold on all three points, 19-year-old Eli Jr. Crupi got equal for Cherry in stop time. He also got a sweetly attacked volley, riding to the end of the flick in the penalty box after his team won a deep free kick.
It was very close to victory and definitely finished with one point that stabbed Leeds, but it was still a strong performance in some good shows. The long staff was really outstanding.
Why Sean Longstaff was a starman against Bournemouth
In many ways, there was a lot of pressure on Longtsaff’s shoulder. He moved from St James Park to Elland Road with plenty of Premier League experiences, and his Saturday afternoon performance in front of Leeds feels like an actual statement.
It was a great performance from the midfielder. In partnership with Ethan Ampadu and Anton Stach, he had the opportunity to move forward and aim to influence the game in the advanced regions. It’s fair to say that with his goals and support he did just that. His strike, a great volley, was one of the great skills and techniques.
What really stood out in his 27-year-old performance on Elland Road was the vast number of possibilities he created. Longstaff played 7 key passes and created one big chance. He was amazing, losing the ball and earning 10 from 13 duels.
Yorkshire post-journalist Leon Woveschul praised the new Leeds man. He gave Longstaff 9/10 for his efforts, describing his afternoon work as a “stellar all-around midfield performance.”
However, Longstaff is not the only outstanding player, with another player from Daniel Fark working particularly well.
Leeds Stars can’t be completely criticized
It was a perfect day for Leeds. White people were ruthless in the offense, and Dominique Calvert Lewin defended something that was a good focus and also resilient. One of those defensive players made a big impression.
Keeping Semenyo and his fellow attackers quiet from open play was never easy. But Leeds should now be considered completely unthinkable as right-back Jaden Bogle dealt with Cherry’s creative players in an impressive way.
The defender had the right side up and down, creating one chance. But what really stood out was defensive. Bogle won five of the six tackles and seven of nine ground duels, trapping the right side of it.

Wobschall certainly impressed me at his 25-year-old in the office. He gave him 7/10 for the work he put in and Bogl said “I should have been pleased with his afternoon.”
After such a performance, it’s difficult to see how Farke will drop the swamp from the starting lineup. He certainly had a major impact on their points against the strong Bournemouth side, and certainly left himself behind.
It was an encouraging performance from Bogle. Keeping the attacker deadly like Semenyo did is no feat. He certainly does have that right backspot turned his right backspot into his right backspot and is as strong as that.
