Alex Sarr had a great second season with the Washington Wizards so far.

Alex Sarr had a 31 point performance on 12-20 from the field against the Boston Celtics.

Sarr has shown the ability to block shots and hit threes, and this was his second 31-point performance for the Washington Wizards this season.

Sarr is averaging 19.0 points, 8.4 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 2.2 blocks, shooting 54.0 percent from the field and 45.5 percent from 3-point range.

There was a lot of talk about Sarr potentially beating the Wizards. He had a pretty disappointing rookie season considering he was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.

But this season, Sarr showed that his future is bright. Although the Wizards haven’t won a game, Sarr was impressed.

Bill Simmons talked about Sarr’s game and said it was like Myles Turner and Serge Ibaka had a baby.

“It’s a really, really promising stretch five.

“It’s like a 3-point shooter with dead eyes. Every time he took a shot, I thought it was going to go in.

“He’s got size, he’s not a great rebounder, but he’s not bad.

“It just never looked like he could put the ball on the floor. I think in the future he’s going to be a better shot Myles Turner.”

“If Myles Turner and Serge Ibaka had kids, basically.

“He’s the opposite of Bast.”

Sarr is considered a rising star, primarily due to his elite defensive skills and significant improvement in his offensive game as of late.

At 7-foot-1 with incredible maneuverability and a 7-foot-4 wingspan, Sarr has the ideal size and athleticism for a big player.

Sarr’s physical profile gives him a chance to be a high-level two-way player in the NBA for years to come.

He looks like a player the Wizards will build on for the future.
