Tsunoda rekindled talk about possible promotions for Red Bull F1.

Scrutiny is already under surveillance after the nightmare start of his Red Bull career as he was the lateest in qualifying for China’s Grand Prix. after the nightmare start of his Red Bull career continued.

Lawson marked his second in the two days when he qualified for P20, adding to the disappointing Q1 elimination in the season-opening game in Melbourne last weekend.

Lawson’s Red Bull teammate Max Verstappen has not qualified outside the top four so far this season.

The 23-year-old Kiwi was chosen by Red Bull in 2025 to replace the underperforming Sergio Perez.

Lawson also failed to perform all the charm comprehensively during his brief spell as a Racing Bulls teammate, but Red Bull still chose to overlook the Japanese driver.

In contrast to Lawson, Tsunoda enjoys a great start to the season.

Tsunoda was the ninth boy in Saturday’s regular qualifying session, following an eye-catching P5 on the Australian grid.

The 24-year-old responded overwhelmingly “always” to being asked if he would be willing to take on the challenge of driving a Red Bull.

If Red Bull made a driver change, they pushed when they were ready to do so in the next round of Japan, Tsunoda told media including ESPN: “Yeah, 100%. So the car is faster.”

Red Bull does not rule out driver changes

Red Bull Motorsport Advisor Helmut Marko did not rule out the possibility of a driver replacement during the season.

“Formula 1 is a competitive sport, and that’s what matters in the end,” Marco told Sky Germany, adding that Lawson’s performance is “not what we expected, but we’ll be quietly discussing it.”

Red Bull Team Principal Christian Horner confirmed to Sky Sports:

After his latest disappointment, Lawson admitted that he “I really don’t have time” to find confidence in RB21.

“Unfortunately, I really don’t have the time, but that’s just one of them,” he told Sky Sports.

“It means driving a Formula 1 car. You need 100% confidence in what you’re doing. It’s not that you’re not confident, but the windows are so small that it seems you’re overlooking it for now.

“Yeah, I don’t know how else to put it. That’s not enough.”
