Dirty Boxing Video: Yoel Romero erases Ras Hylton for a late knockout in the main event

Yoel Romero scored a stop victory in the main event of Dirty Boxing 1, and did so in under 30 seconds.

The Multi-Time UFC Title Challenger faced Bellator veteran Ras Halton in the main event of Saturday night’s fight card in Miami. After winning the first two rounds at points, Romero cleaned up Halton with a vicious combination towards the end of the fight.

Check out the finishing touches below.

As most of Romero’s MMA matches progress in general, the fight begins at a slower pace, with Romero trying to compete with his much taller opponent. Halton used his big frame to stay in range, spitting out jabs and fought wisely. Romero spotted a big left hand towards the tail end of the round, but Halton was able to land the combination in return.

The second round was the same, with Romero’s landing shots mixed in with bodywork everywhere. Halton lands some grazing shots, but it didn’t have a complete impact as the action was rather slow in the first six minutes of boxing.

Romero came out much more aggressively with the hard punch and elbow of the third landing. Halton was unable to keep up with Romero’s athletic ability, landing a clean left hand on Hylton midway through the stanza. Halton answered with a straight combination and ate a body shot for his troubles. Romero lands the big name and finishes the fight in 34 seconds.

With the victory, Romero is 2-0 with two knockouts in the promotion.
