What you can see them eventually sign on targets, and they set their sights in January, Leeds United reportedly are planning a summer move to sign a defender compared to Rio Ferdinand.
Leeds sets sights again on January targets
Once the international break is over, Leeds is set to return to action against the city of Swansea on Saturday afternoon. With only eight games left to play in the championship, Whites sits at the top of the league by goal difference, just two points ahead of third-placed Burnley. Simply put, automatic promotional laces remain on the knife edge.
Promotions to the Premier League are almost certain to provide a big boost to Elland Road people on the transfer front this summer, with names like Matt Target already threatening to steal headlines.
Whether they secure their position on top flight or suffer from an ultimate promotional heartbreak, the 49ers are set to target certain enhancements on Elland Road this summer.
According to GivemeSport, Leeds is currently planning a summer move to sign Andrew Omobamidere from Nottingham Forest after missing out on his signature during the January transfer period.

The £20 million star really failed in Leeds, now he’s outweighed Grey after leaving
The former Leeds United star has taken his career to the next level since leaving Elland Road.
It reportedly will be available for under £10 million if Strasbourg decides not to trigger the option to make his loan permanent in the coming months. Omobamidele completes a permanent exit from Nottingham Forest and is able to join Daniel Fark. The Leeds boss remains a defender fan who brought it through Norwich City Academy in 2021.
“Exciting” Omoba Midere was able to find the form in Leeds
His move to Nottingham Forest hasn’t worked out completely, but there is still a chance that Omobamidere will find his form elsewhere and perhaps next season at Elland Road. The 22-year-old has yet to reach his peak, but has already won impressive acclaim from things like Vinny Perth.
The former Dundalk manager told reporters a few years ago, comparing him to Omobamidere and Premier League legend Ferdinand. “I saw him play for Ireland under 21 against Wales – he was fine. But I saw him in a 1-1 draw and he stayed with the team after that. He’s an outstanding, truly, really exciting footballer.
“They want to play from behind, he’s very comfortable with the ball. I hate giving players tags, but he looks like a young Rio Ferdinand.
That being said, whether they have won a Premier League location or not, Leeds will need to push Fark to reunite with his former academy alumni.
