Mark Marquez maintained control of Kota in the morning warm-up of the U.S. Motogpu, finishing 0.469 seconds from teammate Francesco Bagnaia.
Frenchmen Johann Zarco (Honda) and Fabio Quartaralo (Yamaha) were the third and fourth closest to the factory Ducati riders.
The soft rear tires were used by everyone except Zarco in Saturday’s Sprint, but the Michelin “recommended” rider is using the medium rear this afternoon.
So all riders ran the medium rear in warm-up.
The start of the 10-minute session was slightly delayed due to “technical issues.”
Marco Betzecki was the only waterfall in the last minute.
The 20th Rap Grand Prix starts at 2pm local time.
Mark Marquez is about to extend his unbeaten run on one of his most successful circuits, one of his most successful circuits he has won seven times in the past.
Injured MotoGP champion Jorge Martin is attending Cota as an audience ahead of the possibility of Aprilia’s next debut in Qatar.
