Tottenham Hotspur reportedly contacted a “exciting” manager compared to former Spurs favourite Mauricio Pockettino as Chairman Daniel Levy created a list of candidates for potential Anse Ecoglu alternatives.
The manager targeted by Tottenham has replaced Ange Postecoglou
It was his second full season in charge of the Spurs for Post Coglu, and after a total of 15 Premier League losses, his team came in 14th place.

Spurs is considering an interesting array of managers.
Amidst the pressure surrounding his long-term future, Fabrizio Romano said earlier this week that Postcogro relies on a good run in the Europa League to save his job with the Spurs.
Tottenham’s next five Premier League fixtures | date |
---|---|
Chelsea (away) | April 3rd |
Southampton (home) | April 6th |
Wolves (away) | April 13th |
Nottingham Forest (home) | April 21st |
Liverpool (away) | April 27th |
This reflects previous reports from athletics claiming that the future of Postcoglow is “seriously suspected,” so potential Australian layoffs seem far more likely at this stage.
With this in mind, it is currently believed that Levi is planning a contingency plan at an event where Post-Coglu actually shows his P45.
Reports show that Tottenham has finalized Brentford boss Thomas Frank, but Fulham’s manager Marco Silva is also believed to be under consideration at Spurs.
Currently, Inter Milan manager Simone Inzagi, who is trying to defend the Nerazooli Scudetto title in an intimate race with Antonio Conte, has a admirer of N17 (Fabrizio Romano).
However, one of the aforementioned candidates is Andniiraora of Bournemouth.
The 42-year-old has done a very impressive job since joining from Rayo Vallecano. Cherries compete in European locations and maintain true consistency throughout 2024/2025 despite injuries issues.
Iraaura is reportedly the top target for Tottenham, which will replace Post-Coglu as a result, and the Spurs are already believed to be in contact with the Spanish close circle (Givemesport).
Andoni Iraora is Tottenham’s “exciting” manager target
Now talking about the Athletic FC podcast, journalist Jack Pitt Brook shares insights about the tactician after Tottenham’s approach to this rumor.
Pitt Brook claims Iraora is seen as the next exciting young manager in football, and likens it to former Lily White head coach Pockettino, who has been a fan favorite for many years and led to the unprecedented Champions League final.
“There appears to be a consensus in football that he is the next new, exciting young manager.” Pitbrook said.
“I think he’s in a sweet spot just 42 years old, so he’s original and brave enough to be truly confident about the strength of his ideas, but he’s experienced enough that his ideas were tested.
“He really did well in Raio Valecano’s Spain. And he came to Bournemouth and did well, so from Tottenham’s point of view, if you think it reminds you of most of the Mauricio Pockettino in 2014, then Iraola is an obvious choice.”
It is worth noting that the Iraola deal, which expires in 2026, also includes a release clause of between £100 million and £11 million. So Spurs knows the price of his appointment.
The main obstacle lies in Iraaura’s willingness to join North Londoners, considering the amazing work he is doing in Bournemouth now.
