Dana White is moving alongside Meta.
TKO Group Holding announced Wednesday that UFC has signed a multi-year partnership with Meta, and Mark Zuckerberg’s company has become UFC’s “official fan technology partner.”
See the release section below.
As UFC’s first official fan technology partner, Meta will work with UFC to use Meta’s technology platforms, services and products. Immerse your UFC content deeper than ever with MetaAI, Meta Glasses, Meta Quest, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and threads. Additionally, Meta will become the official UFC AI glasses partner and work with UFC to creatively use groundbreaking AI glasses in engaging ways at UFC events.
White and Zuckerberg have formed a close relationship over the years, with Zuckerberg regularly attending UFC events and White was brought to join Meta’s board of directors this January.
The exact nature of White’s involvement is unknown, but the business connection is already appearing to pay dividends in Wednesday’s announcement. White has confirmed his aforementioned plans to take him to social media, share the news and announce it by the end of 2025, confirming his aforementioned plans to help Meta in creating a new fighter ranking system.
“We’ve already started working with Meta to create a new fighter ranking system that will debut later this year. “We’ll be using Meta’s AI-powered glasses to capture UFC content. We’re going to do something with Meta that blows UFC fans away. Over the next few years, it’s an absolute game changer for fans of the sport.”
Zuckerberg was quoted in the release, saying, “I love the sport and look forward to working with the UFC to experience it in new ways.”
