Arsenal has officially confirmed the blow that Gabriel Magalges has been injured.
Gunners have absolutely nightmares with injuries this season, and Gabriel is the latest in many big blows to key players.
Arsenal also had to do it for a long time without Kai Herberts, Gabriel Jesus, Bucayo Saka and Martin Odegaard.
And now, Arsenal.com has confirmed that Gabriel is not worthy of playing again for Mikel Arteta’s side this season.
Brazil International turned their eyes with considerable discomfort in their victory at Fulham earlier this week, confirming the club’s worst fears.
Gabriel Magalges’ injury is badly timed as Arsenal prepares to face Real Madrid
Arsenal fans have doubts about how bad luck this season has been, leading Gabriel to miss two very important games against Real Madrid.
Next Tuesday night, Arteta’s side host Los Blancos at Emirates Stadium for a huge event and the first leg, one of the club’s most important matches over the years.
It could be a very long night for AFC without major defender Gabriel as they were able to realistically summon a world-class offensive lineup that includes Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo Goes, Jude Bellingham and more.
Arsenal has relied much on Gabriel for his leadership in the back over the past few years, but the 27-year-old has also been a source of reliable goals for set pieces.
Arteta also has William Saliba as an important part of his defense, but he can also call the trustworthy Jakub Kiwior as a backup.
Still, there is no doubt that this Arsenal would be weak without Gabriel. That’s bad news when it’s against major European troops like Real Madrid.
