The New Orleans Pelicans moved their roster to close out their team as the season ended.

Zion Williamson has been closed for the season, with the New Orleans Pelicans killing time. With a 21-55 record, the Pelicans are heading for the NBA Draft Lottery.

The Pelicans have been re-adjusting their roster with the aim of creating numbers and perhaps making one or two discoveries.

The latest player to sign the 10-day deal is Kyler Kelly, who is on the South Bay Lakers roster.

The New Orleans Pelican has announced that Kyler Kelly, who made his NBA debut for the Dallas Mavericks earlier this season, has been handed a 10-day contract.

Kelly began the season with the G-League South Bay Lakers. After he was waived from his two-year contract, he signed with Mavericks in January amid a Dereck Lively injury.

Mavs gave Kelley his first proper shot in the NBA. He was bouncing off in the G League and abroad after being undrafted in 2020.

The 7-foot center played eight games in total with the Mavericks, averaging eight minutes per game.

He averaged 3.0 points per game during this run, with 0.3 and 0.3 blocks per game.

Jason Kidd praised vocalist Kelly for making his debut in January, but was eventually cut by the Mavericks at the end of February.

Kyler Kelly finds himself back in a similar situation after being cut off by the Dallas Mavericks and rejoins La Lakers’ G-League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers.

He played 18 games with two spells in 18 games this season for South Bay, averaging 11.1 points per game, 6.7 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game.

Now he has another short shot at the Pelicans in New Orleans since the end of this season. And we were able to head to La Lakers Up, who played one game during the preseason.

The Pelicans become heavy underdogs in both matchups, but Kelly fights for his place in the NBA and try out the case to latch onto the 2025-26 season roster.
